We loved your composition we heard at the OEBS on February 20. It was a fabulous performance! My questionis is with regard to your violin: is it electrified/amplified? I did not see any wires coming from it.

    Hi Pat,

    Thanks a lot!
Yes, actually it was amplified by two systems with thin wires. One is a pickup and the other the Bartlett Fiddle Mic. I was using the pickup more as a boost and for the looping cadenza at the end.

    Hey Kit,

Thanks so much. No recording as of now, only an archival recording that I can’t share, but hopefully one day it would be possible to record. Sure would be fun to do!

    Hi Pat,

Actually it was amplified, two narrow wires, one with a clip on mic that was constant and then one pickup that I brought in and out depending on the volume I needed to play at. For sure an unusual way of doing it, but I feel like it worked!

    Best,
    Mads
